He has now lost both of his front teeth and is so funny talking. Everytime I see that sweet smile now, I cannot help but feel him pulling on my heart strings!

They grow up too fast!

Chocolate Chip Cookies

An elderly man lay dying in his bed. In death's agony he suddenly smelled the aroma of his favorite chocolate chip cookies wafting up the stairs. He gathered his remaining strength and lifted himself from the bed.
Leaning against the wall he slowly made his way out of the bedroom and with even greater effort forced himself down the stairs, gripping the railing with both hands, with labored breath, he leaned against the door-frame gazing into the kitchen. Were it not for death's agony, he would have thought himself already in heaven; there, spread out upon racks on the kitchen table and counters were literally hundreds of his favorite chocolate chip cookies. Was it heaven? Or was it one final act of heroic love from his devoted wife seeing to it that he left this world a happy man?

Mustering one great final effort, he threw himself toward the table, landing on his knees in a rumpled posture. His parched lips parted - the wondrous taste of the cookies was already in his mouth, seemingly bringing him back to life.

"Stay out of those," she said "They're for the funeral."

Princess Breakfast

We went to Chick-fil-a last Saturday and had breakfast with Cinderella and Belle. Grace had so much fun jumping in the castle and visiting with her friends and seeing Cinderella and Belle.

Then this was our conversation in the car,

Mommy: "Did you have a fun time seeing the princesses?"

Grace: "Yes, but doesn't that girl know that Cinderella has blonde hair? She needs to go see Mr. David and get her hair blonde like you Mommy!"

Mommy: "You are exactly right baby!"

Grace: "Why don't you turn around and ask her if she knows his number and where he works, so she can get her hair the right way!"

Children are so honest! Although, I cannot wait to tell David about this conversation and let him know that Grace is probably sending him business each and everyday! So her Mommy needs a discount now!

Future Babysitter??????

Everyone knows Duncan loves babies! I watched him with a friend's baby and he is not too bad for an 8 year old. So, I am thinking give him 4-5 years and he should be GREAT! Let the training begin! I can't wait for the free childcare!

First Real Hair Cut!

Grace finally got her first real Hair Cut! I had been waiting because I didn't want to lose her curls. David was sick so Mrs. Cathy got to cut her hair. She took about 2 inches off. Grace was such a big girl and she fell in love with the salon. I guess this is the first of many trips to the salon.

Blessed!

I know it has been awhile since my last post. We have had so many things going on in our busy, busy lives. Hopefully, our household will be on the upswing and feeling better-
Today for some reason I have just been content and happy. I know that this is God working in my life. The sun is out, the weather is warm and I am at peace. I have a wonderful husband whom I love dearly and two of the most precious children in the world. These are truly God's gifts to me. I just wanted to share that today- I am happy and loving my Lord!
